Below is the sermon archive from the series entitled The Art of Inclusion.
Sermon From 1/18/09: “I Will Lift You up” (1 Corinthians 12:22-23 and Galatians 6:10) – The giving of honor to those who have are on the fringes, in the minority, or in need of extra attention is the point of the message. Also, as we honor them, we have to make sure that it is received by them as honoring. The reason for this is that Jesus included everyone in His ministry, so, the art of inclusion is really all about Jesus.
Sermon From 1/25/09:”No Special Treatment” (1 Corinthians 12:23-24) – In God’s eyes everyone is equal. But, we live in culture, and the culture, sinful as it might be, often assigns greater value to some people that others. What does God say about that?
Sermon From 2/01/09: “I Will Stand With You” (1 Corinthians 12:24a-25) – The purpose to practice the art of inclusion is that is creates unity (no division) and sensitivity (same care) to those on the fringe.
Sermon From 2/08/09: “The Art of Belonging” (1 Corinthians 12:26) – Paul gives two principles for belonging to a body of believers, that is suffering with those who suffer, and celebrating with those who have a reason for celebrating.
