Dear Lakeview Family,

Like many of you, I’ve been following the evolving details about the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in our area and around the world.

We’ve met as a leadership team (elders, deacons, staff, etc.), I’ve met with local pastors and also with district level pastors across the state to gain perspective on how to best move forward.

As we learn more about the coronavirus, we know that limiting contact with others can significantly curb the spread, so health organizations around the country are encouraging individuals to stay away from large gatherings.

We’re following the lead of many other businesses and events during this unprecedented pandemic and suspending all gatherings, both large and small. We are not reacting out of fear but out of our civic responsibility to keep our church family and communities safe. For the time being, we will not hold in-person weekend worship services, nor will we gather in person as Life Groups or Growth Groups.

We plan to have a worship service together at our regular 10:45 Sunday time slot, but we will do so digitally from our homes. You will be able to click on the link on our website’s home page (or find it on Facebook) to be led through a short worship service for you and your family, and perhaps even your Life Groups.

We will continue to keep our website updated with the latest information about how we plan to move forward as plans evolve. You can subscribe to our weekly email, and you can also follow us on Facebook.

Thank you, Church — be brave, be selfless, be full of love during this season of life we’re in together.
